Guten Abend
I am at a Best Western.  Don't laugh :)
We set this up last night so I would not have to search for a place in the dark here in Augsburg, Germany.  I am just outside Munchen.
The day started out good.  We S S and S'ed this morning about 6:30.  All was packed and as we walked to the car in a garage, Daniel asked if I had the parking ticket in my wallet.  I replied you mean the one I just threw in the trash.  Oh yeah, bags left in the car we both walked back to the hotel.  Our key mind you was tucked in our room and no way to get in.  Luckily the buzzer rang someone and he showed up within minutes.  Hey, it saved us a charge of 20e per day.  We parked for like 9e a day.  Well worth the 10 min walk back....
Once we started out of the city it went pretty smooth.  Dropped Daniel off by 9am and the flt looked good for Business class.  I really had a good time with him.  I felt very lonely for awhile and it took some concentrated driving from that point on.  We talked about my ride today.  I took me from the Brugge to the Brussels airport and all the way almost to Munchen.  I did not set the mileage, but it had to be in the 600 kilometer range.  Probably about 450+ miles.  It hurt in that piece of French crap car.  Should of upgraded for the buck to the Yugo!
No really my biggest complaint about the car is the windshield fluid in only water and its frozen solid.  So yes, every 30 mins I must stop and clean the windows.  POS is getting turned in at the Munich airport tomorrow.  Kinda of dangerous to not see where you are going....
I needed to get off the Autobahn for a while and did it going thru the Black Forest.  Snow covered high pines and just beautiful.  No pix out the window because it was covered in road crap.. :(
I continued east toward the town of Augsburg.  I think it pretty much is a far out suburb of Munich.  I pick up Ken Hall tomorrow around 9am.  Ken and I used to work together at Delta and he also retired this last year.  We are both gonna see some things we have not in the past trips.  Fun!!
So here I am in a Best Western.  The normal type room.  At least they have wifi.  Been tough finding places with wifi that actually works.  So I ventured out at this exit off the Autobahn.  Lets see.... a Burger king and McDonalds.  A shell with a deli counter and some other gas station with packaged sandwiches.  Across from the Shell was this Restaurant sign.  Had to try.  Wow it sucked big time.  I have had better frozen dinners.  What do you expect when its right off the Autobahn.  The only thing good was the German Beer.  That was the only pix I took today.  Well off to bed..
