Bonjour we are back in Frog land.  Drove from Genova, Italy to Nice, France to day.  Wow what a drive.  We had to have gone thru 25 or 30 tunnels.  We climbed to over 6000 feet above the water.  You could see the water that was only maybe a mile or two away.  Unbelievable views....:)
I decided to get rid of the car at the airport.  Too many worries and headaches.  Soooooo ready to leave the driving to some other idiot.  You would not believe the crazy scooter peeps here.  So once the car was gone, we took a bus back into town.  We are staying at a hotel on the main blvd of Nice.  Its like a Rodeo Drive.  Fancy everything.  Fountains and streetcars.  Then you head out to the boardwalk.  Bikes, runners, walkers and whatevers.  We sat at a place on the beach and just watched the planes fly over and land at the airport.  The sky finally was cloudless.  This is definitely the place everyone wants to be seen.  All that stuff with the Cannes film festival is right down the road.  Helicopter are shuttling the rich and famous overhead.  It was real easy to just sit and drink a beer ($10), but it was cool.  :)
A coffee was in order later before dinner.  They do not like to eat before 7.  As in not even open til then.  We ended up eating at one of the all inclusive meals again.  Apetizer, entree and desert.
So tonight we decided to take a train back to Paris in the morning.  Tried to buy tickets at the station, but the Europe Visa cards have a special chip imbedded in them and ours do not.  No joy.  Just reading the schedule was enough to freaking French turds :)
